| Soul |
Soul : A conceptual notion referring to the real nature of one’s own existential substance. A qualitative assessment of experience, the results of which may define to us whether or not we are “real”, in a spiritual sense. An individual’s true identity, not defined by matter, or the resultant ego. The spirit of God, dwelling within the body, and not expiring with the temporal realm. A transcendental personification of the living thing that now experiences itself, referring to its pre-existing source. Commonly thought to have been birthed with the possibility of an eternal existence thereafter, but subject to death by damnation from God. Often confused with consciousness, being that the consciousness acts like a “spirit” over the body and brain, the soul is thought to be a direct continuation from living experience. Although it is usually understood that all “souls” are derived from a single source, most individuals will not accept the notion that all “souls” are one in the same. A unifying principle in conscious reality, corresponding to the mind, in contrast to trivial expressions of variety. |
