This card is part of an old trick, which coupled Armageddon (destroy all lands) and

the egg. It can also be used with Flashfires or Tsunami (destroy all Plains or Islands,

respectively). It is also possible to use cards that turn lands into creatures (such as

Living Lands), and wipe them our with a mass-destruction sorcery. This is not the

type of strategy that I ever employ. Instant-win combinations are boring to me, and

trying to do the same thing over and over will not give an enduring quality to the

experience. If not to be used in the manner I just described, the card is

underpowered. A more simple land destruction deck will rely on the artifact being in

play FIRST, or destroying single lands would not have the complete effect (no added

damage). So, this is a perfect example of a trick-based card, only having relevance

when combined with a few specific cards. In other words, it does that, and only that.

Anything of this sort of design is uninteresting to me, because there is nothing unique

that can be done with it. It only creates a bandwagon of imitators, all showing-off a

spectacular stunt, for the awe of an uneducated crowd. Tricks like this are always a

gamble, and whether or not it works will not (primarily) be determined by skill.

Anyone can learn to use a deck like that, but only a true master can design

something completely unique and glamour-free, and beat the over-hyped bullshit.
