Among the oldest, and one of the most consistently appearing cards in the game,

Mahamoti Djinn is an uncommonly-large, blue flier. The fundamental mechanics are

very useful - It both defends against a wide range of lesser creatures, and can deal

damage to the opponent easily, either by-passing a ground force completely, or

overcoming smaller fliers. The down-side of using such a high-cost creature in a blue

deck, is that it may leave you open for a turn, while you tap-out for the summon, and

lose the available mana for a counter-spell. For that reason, it may be better suited

to a deck that does not rely on counter, perhaps utilizing return spells instead. Try

mixing the non-creature selection of each other color with this card - Black, for

example, can potentially return it to the battlefield from your graveyard, by-passing

the casting cost. Green can supply you with extra mana, allowing you to make the

cast more quickly, or leave a remainder of mana for defensive purposes. Some of

the more over-powered cards (such as Ilharg, the Raze-Boar) can utilize it for very

quick damage, as well, but I would like to see the more outrageous abilities much

more limited in the future. Playing with a basic card, such as this, is sure to teach

you a lot more than relying on a pre-determined and unstoppable combination; but

nevermind that - a winner is only ever determined by an official rule-set, right? Just

utilize the authority of the game-maker, and become the greatest pest of them all!!!
