1/16/16 - Though it is clear that we are all individuals, possessing unique thoughts and exhibiting unique behaviors, it is also clear that our thoughts and behaviors are collaborative - being produced through an affinity to other conscious beings. Whether we intend so or not, we all pick up on the trademarks of other individuals' conscious interactions and incorporate them into our own. How does this occur? How is it that simply by experiencing another's consciousness at the forefront of our senses we interpret exactly what they did and reproduce it? Or are we experiencing their consciousness at a previously unidentified level to perform this feat? Popular culture has recognised this seemingly supernatural phenomena, calling it "psychic ability" or "the sixth sense". I think the landscape of consciousness is not recognised and has not been clearly identified. There are obvious examples, such as the flocking of birds, which illustrate that many things can easily, unconsciously, act as one. What if this simple example parallels a more complex example, such as human beings reaching a consensus on a subject and passing it through generations as an ideology? What if there are mastering forces in consciousness, dictating the direction that such a consensus takes? As human thought and behavior has command over the reality we all experience, this seems to me a pertinent subject to explore. To be continued... |
