1/16/21 - "Democracy is Freedom"

So! You've all decided that a "freedom of speech" is absolutely essential...

Wonderful, bravo. But, do you have any idea of what might make it so

essential, or were you just happy to acquiesce to the consensus? I just

wonder, are you THERE with me, or do you fail to realize the implicit

reasoning for such? A "freedom of speech" would only be essential if it were

to DO something significant. I hate to be rude, but it seems so OBVIOUS to

any question of its relevancy... Have you ever linguistically expressed an

intention that substantially impacted such an idea? Hahaha... Nevermind the

bullshit, just think, did you ever NEED one? What did you ever say that you

would need to be defended by law for saying? It would have to be something,

as say,
subversive, or clearly intended to, or expected to undermine the

authority of some human power. Otherwise, you'd have nothing to worry

about, right? What IS it that provoked the "Founding Fathers" into writing such

a law? What did they need to say?... In truth, it isn't really important WHAT

they said, rather, WHY they said it. They declared that anything but

democratic rule was unacceptable to them. And really, that's all it was, in a

nutshell. They might have said a lot of interesting things, but as far as I know,

they really didn't. It was just a declaration of independence from the British.

What if, however, all that shit (Divisions of kingdoms, reorganizing of power

amongst men) were done with by now, and the only reason for the treachery

of "free speech" were to do something spiritual, rather than simply logistical?

(What "land" do the revolutionaries plan on fleeing to THIS time???) None, of

course, they'll either have to take over the current locale, or be forced to live

under the oppression of a larger social body. If I were to be such a

revolutionary, for example, I wouldn't have any prospect of dividing my

"people" into a group that I could haul away on ships to some "promised

land". I would need to literally rise above all human systems, and declare a

new sort of "freedom".  The current idea that we are "free" is based upon a

subjective analysis of the system of rule known as "democracy". It says, in

effect, "Democracy is Freedom", and if you question that statement as true,

many people would be likely to hunt you down with guns. We can see that the

most obvious reason that such a horror is true (being hunted by ordinary men

for questioning ideas), is that the idea is EXTREMELY popular. Some people

love it so much, that they'd kill or die for it. Is that due to the statement's

VALIDITY, or simply its VALUE to certain individuals? I think, that it's safe to

say, that most people love the idea of democracy because they think that it

gives them freedom. The real question is... DOES it? Well, that's a matter of

"opinion" -  Meaning that, we all have the
"right" to believe in ourselves as an

accurate source of information. I could go a long way to explain that men are

not at all free, regardless of their "voting rights", but most people will simply

satisfy theirselves to say, "That's the best we can do". There wouldn't be any

possible system of rule better than "everyone has their say" anyway, so they

feel assured that they've appropriately conceded to a reasonable form of

government.

The only trouble that I can think of, might be the possibility that
most men are

convinced of bad, or unresolvably corrupt ideas. If, for example, we were to

all agree that "money is power", it would certainly and rapidly deteriorate the

social infrastructure, and any hope that men would be treated as equals. After

all, if all men believe that their money is equivalent to their "worth", and that

the power it lends them is deserved, then any man with more wealth than

another would be deemed the superior. Now wait! Before you start balking at

the idea as if it were some gross exaggeration, remember that you believe

that all "street people" got the way they are because of some mental

incapacity, and shouldn't be concerned with, even when they will die without

our help. If YOU were dying on the street, don't you think that you'd want to

complain about your importance? "WHAT makes YOU better than ME???",

you'd say. Strangely, you might find this to be untrue. You might argue that if

you were dying on the street, you'd think you'd made some gross error, and

should rightfully considered a "loser". It seems like something out of the

"twilight zone" to me, but many people acquiesce to the local public's

consensus, if even when it might kill them. Instead of using rationale and

reason, and deriving the conclusion that other people's opinions don't

matter, they simply accept being belittled and discarded by people who clearly

don't care about them. And, they'll do that to you because they think you're an

unimportant loser... But, I guess you must be, if even YOU thought so.

A person will call another "stupid" because they don't care about what it might

make that person feel, while it makes them feel good.  Take this entire piece

of writing, for example. Many "victims" of my writing would claim that I made

them "feel bad" about theirselves... Well, to tell you the truth, I don't care. It's

just that my reasons for not caring are well founded in righteousness, and I

never find reason to concern myself with the petty, negative emotions of my

readers. "Feel bad" can mean something good, depending on how right you

were to begin with. If you're wrong, going into this read, my fucking GOAL is

to make you "feel bad"... And that's what I want to be free to do. That's why I

like a constitutional "Freedom of Speech". Thank you, I needed that. Now

some of you will say, "Ha! You're doing the same thing as me when you make

people feel bad! And I'm free TOO!" But, in truth, your freedom isn't valuable,

like mine. You happen to be free to say whatever you want for no good,

goddamn reason. The negative emotions you might elicit in me serve no

positive purpose, and you have MANY, MANY more votes than me. You see,

I'm noticing something that Socrates noticed... I'm the One, and you're the

Many. According to his philosophy, all real knowledge comes from the One,

himself, and it was his job to teach and guide the Many, because they were

lost without him, all of them frauds in everything they did. Given that,

accepted as true, democracy is anything but "freedom". Democracy puts

hands entirely in control of the Many, rather than the One. If the Many know

nothing, and they awarded theirselves such power, the One is doomed. And,

of course, the Many will follow, fated by the tragedy of their existential flaw -

They only WISHED that they truly existed. If they did, they would have

recognized the TRUTH when it occurred to them, rather than hoping that it

was all a "game", that they could cheat to win, and that there would be no

serious consequence to their lies.
