3/27/19 - "Our Best and Brightest" I can see that you all hold people who can show that they possess a great amount of "knowledge" in high esteem... Like, in a game show like "Jeopardy". This game is based on the world-database of trivial information gathered by human beings, throughout history. It enchants many people, and is very popular. A Jeopardy champion is taken as an intellectual authority, kings and queens of the "smart" people. They are considered very "knowledgeable". While the ability to display a command of tons of trivial information is superficially impressive, it says nothing about a person's knowledge. There are no questions in Jeopardy that you can answer without having learned a piece of information, and memorized it. The intellectual power of a Jeopardy champion is an illusion, much like the significance of a perfect test score. Real knowledge can not be so easily gauged - But, it can be proven as such, by a subjective experience of enlightenment or epiphany, resulting from an interaction. That's what I'm doing right now - communicating knowledge for you to experience, and gain understanding. I find it much more interesting than Jeopardy, and though I would do very poorly in their game, I can certainly show that my knowledge is far more significant to real life. The things I know were not taught to me (Though I did, of course, gather bits of information to reference and consider), and I've gained an ability to learn and understand any given thing, without ever relying on trivial information from an "authority" on the subject. Whatever it is, I have my own ideas, which I can test and verify - And if my conclusions contradict the accepted truth, I simply set myself to proving why it is not true to others. I don't want anything false to be accepted as truth, because that stands in my way. It can be very destructive for everyone to adamantly believe things that I know aren't true, sometimes deeply affecting my personal life. But, the whole world loves "Jeopardy". Almost everyone will agree that a Jeopardy champion is vastly my superior, in terms of knowledge and intelligence, because I can't answer questions about things I couldn't care less about. It's a matter of concern. The things you can learn on "Jeopardy" are unimportant, and irrelevant. That's not a matter of opinion, it is absolutely the truth. I consider "Jeopardy" champions to be foolish people obsessed with the superficial, human world. None of it can really be used to do anything of value. Real knowledge is personal. That is why I dismiss ideology. Anything ideological is meaningless, and a waste of my time. "World-renowned scientist clones sheep!"... "Wow, he's incredible! He's our FUTURE! I wonder what we'll DO with his KNOWLEDGE???" Absolutely nothing. Cloning sheep is a waste of fucking time. It couldn't be more boring to me. But, that's all you people will pay attention to, or revere. I might know how to save the world from endless wars, internal stagnation, and inevitable extinction. But, no, don't listen to ME. I'm a delusional, wanna-be prestigious and prominent person. "He's not one of THEM! He's a WACKO!" Trust me... The guy who cloned sheep is fuckin' WEIRD, but... He's a lot like you. |
