5/26/17 - "Right as Rain" There are 2 senses in which you may take the terms "right" or "correct", but I declare that only one of them truly exists. There is the "practical 'right' ", which most people are most fond of, and there is the ethical sense of rightness. I say only the ethical 'right' truly exists. Whenever you are practically correct about something, there are a hundred million logical results that make your correctness wrong, and whenever you are wrong about something, there are a hundred million results that make your mistake correct. However, I constantly hear people declaring "I am right!", and they are referring to practical correctness, which is a great source of personal humor for me. I can't help but sometimes laugh my ass off, while other times it makes me feel sick. I try to take it lightly, but the matter is completely serious. You have to understand that the only sense of correctness that is truly relevant is ethical correctness. Without that understanding, we have nothing but an absurd war over something which is truly indeterminable - and people get killed over it, their hearts get broken, or otherwise, tragedy results. That is why you must always look to God for an answer as to whether something is right or wrong, and you must disregard practical mistakes as long as you are following a faith in righteousness. It's easy! Just don't do anything that makes you feel wrong in your heart. Ignore your heart, and you'll find yourself in spiritual poverty, and lose faith in God. Most people start to believe in their selves instead, affirm to their selves that they are "atheists", and have good heads on their shoulders for their "enlightened" conclusions. They try to fine-tune their decision-making processes so that they are always (as they perceive) correct, and become proud and haughty of their personal mastery over reality. But their mistake is obvious! They simply aren't aware of the multitude of things that make their certainty in their selves false! Telling yourself you are right about everything you do as long as you stick to a plan is like saying you are as knowledgeable as the One who created reality. Could YOU do this?? No. Is your decision-making process so universally compatible with any circumstance that it would allow such a magnificent feat? Of course not. Then why is it right for your little decisions?? It's not. You just think it is, because you don't know how else to be sure of yourself. Being certain of yourself leads you to false conclusions, which you then believe in, creating false "knowledge". Then, you operate on the basis of that new knowledge, thinking that you are correct, and make mistakes constantly, of which you are completely unaware. When trivial correctness is always a matter of perception, it can be whatever you want! You're just believing in what you want to be correct, and then you violently defend it (your ego). In such a devoid, little, personal world, there is nothing else for you to make your claim to fame upon. It is who you are! Erase that shit. I'm telling you it's nothing. It is an imaginative mental process that fabricates the expression of itself upon a stubbornly unknowable reality. Do not consider yourself the master of reality. This is a mistake. God will sometimes verify your mistake to you as true, allowing you to believe in yourself - and when you realize that you are wrong, you call Him a liar! You are the liar! That's all you're supposed to take from it. You discovered that you lied to yourself, now you know to no longer believe whatever you thought of in a moment. Life is an on-going process of inquisition, and you can never claim to have absolute answers. So, now you can say, "But you have just given me so many answers! Why are you correct??" I'm not. This is just a story, it's the best one I have. Write your own. Test it against mine. I am not a leader, but an avid follower of an All-knowing Mind. I can only pick at it for pieces of truth, never knowing to what it may amount. |
