6/28/19 - "Soldiers, and Cops, and Quacks, Oh My!" Part 1 What do you think are the three most important systems in human organization, to the common understanding of a thoroughly conditioned participant? Almost anyone would name them : The army, the police force, and the hospital. All of them are revered by the general population as truly holy objects - And they are viewed as the most honorable roles to fill, some deeply compelled by a sense of duty to answer the call to leadership. The attraction, of course, is an underlying psychological device : All of these roles endow the initiate with an authority, entrusted to them on the basis that they uphold the dogmatic standards of the society. This authority will often place the lives of others in the hands of these chosen elite, and they know that they are expected to preserve it at all costs - The soldier, to protect his civilian homeland; the police man, to guard the law-abiding from the attacks of those who are criminally-insane; and the doctor, to pump the hearts of their patients, as long as they will beat. They all know their duty, and performance is a simple matter of unquestionable action. Authority, then, is given to those who will rigidly define it as a rule-set that is commonly understood - Anyone who would change the dictates of their predecessors is a compromise to the correctness that we all honor and revere. No one with any sort of strange idea would be attracted to these lines of duty, and therefore, the function is smooth and relentless, doing no wrong that it would ever become aware of... And erasing any outcry with the explanation that the greater good must be preserved. Now, let's forget about explaining the fallacies polluting the sanctity of each of these fields for a moment - Instead, I want to question something that no one would ever think of : Are these supposedly vital functions of the human macro-organism called "society" even necessary??? I would tell you how all of them give blatant examples of unacceptable corruption... But, beyond that, I find that the ultimate resolution to these problems is total annihilation - The real reason that these systems become corrupt, is simply that they are an imaginary, psychological device. I said that they all thrive on the concept of "authority", and all those members of these organizations are attached to a sacred belief in their historical achievements. It is, entirely, the PRIDE of our representatives that keeps the reality in place. Take the army first - If you already LOVE it, what should it do, without an outward war? "Preserve the peace. Gotta keep a grapple on those volatile regions. We'll push our presence into any questionable hub!" So, they take to staking out the middle-eastern cities, our soldiers frequenting the residential streets of the local population. Given that, a civilian won't want to make any wrong moves, knowing that the foreign soldiers view them as potential enemies, with orders to take "appropriate action". So, say you lived there, and your government is viciously oppressing you, affording you nothing in the terrible economy. You might NEED to commit crimes to survive, and with both a domestic army, and troops from over-seas patrolling like police, you're in a bit of a bind. I'm speculating the situation with a very limited knowledge of what actually occurs, but I would guess that many frustrated civilians find it a viable option to try and skip town to join the rebel factions, when they would have inevitably died anyway. They're a lot like street-people in America, without real options, and even more deplorable conditions. It's always cited that the rebel groups are religious extremists - Maybe their leaders will preach that sort of Islam as a means of motivating the troops, but I think the root cause is actually socio-economic. Like, duh. I'm going to die because of this horrifying world, hopefully there was a fucking reason. So, while the news will promote the idea that religion is the primary motivation behind terrorism in this region, an honest assessment of reality would say that it because they are dying in the desert. Now, back to my original point - The sociological system known as "the army" does not need exist. Why? Because its true function is to CREATE war, and sustain hostility, instead of keeping the peace, as it claims. Our primary GNP in this country is to sell weapons to foreign armies, which they then use to police their citizens, in turn angering them to the point of absolute violence. WHAT IF the United States backed out of the middle-east? Our propaganda ASSURES you that all hell would break loose. ONLY America is brave enough to take charge, and keep the social order! (As an inadvertent side-benefit, we maintain our access to OPEC oil) We are such vigilant heroes! NO other country would be up to the task, and the rebels would take over those countries, seize the oil, and effectively ruin the US gasoline industry. Other countries might continue to trade with the rebels... But, seeing as they particularly hate us, we'd get extorted or all together denied. So... The United States has a long history of domineering the world for economic benefits. The motivations of an apathetic governmental entity are never pure or heroic, they are in the interest of a thriving economy. Say we run to the aid of a country that is outwardly abusing its civilian population - We drop a few bombs, everyone gets paid, and come home for praise and glory. Whenever that happens, new bombs are made, and the war industry thrives. Military action always results in profits for an insider group. Whether or not the action was an act of heroism on the part of dutiful soldiers, someone without any personal risk makes off with winnings. Sadly, it stands to reason that our country NEEDS war in order to survive economically. We import from everywhere, exporting very little, and are not respected by the rest of the world. Who has a need of our omnipotent military force??? YOU GUYS??? Coming right up! Heh-heh-heh. Just make sure that you remember the favor, and we got your back! Of course, you all know full-well that I'm an insane conspiracy theorist, and that such undeniable ulterior motives are only an irrelevant side-effect. On top of that, everyone WANTS the economy to thrive, at whatever cost it takes! After all, the evil of nature demands that we survive, and our family will die without all the means that we currently employ to co-exist as a nation. Does that mean... YES! The economic engine constantly demands the sacrifice of our human resources, and the best way to obtain a strong base of willing volunteers, is to promote the idea that they are the most angelic beings to inhabit this earth. "Oh, when the saaaaaaints go marching innnnn!... I waaant to beeee in that number!" Ignorance is bliss... Until you step on a fucking land-mine, managing to survive, but with a mutilated face that no one can ignore. WHY??? Again, no other army acts that way, but we are SURE that our military is on a sacred, holy mission. Let's see if they'll back out! Let's re-direct tax monies to the foundation of new industrial entities that would support the nation in a non-violent way! But... Who wants to buy our products??? Anyone??? Fuck, China beat us out in every market. The only true path to peace is universal cooperation, recognizing each individual nation's financial situation as a mutual problem, and coming to fair compromises that will eventually work out to a functional, global situation. "No compromises!!! America is NUMBER 1!!! Help make us GREAT AGAIN!!! USA! USA!" How much do you trust the competency of our nation's leadership? Democracy puts YOU in charge, and YOUR president wants to bully other nations, while we're currently relying on a malicious, man-eating economic engine. I don't blame the president for this BAD ATTITUDE, I blame EVERYONE who holds it! And that, it seems, is a ruling majority of the population. Ideally, armies are not a necessary sociological function. This country has made it completely essential, manufacturing its function whenever possible. Next time, I will give another example of an imaginary social system, again utilizing the belief of the general population to thrive as a money-feeding, oppressive force. "I'm so fuckin' committed to this job, that my blood went blue!" (Yes, blood is blue anyway, inside the vein. I'm glad you know that.) |
